Failed to save recieved connection settings

I have a 6230 that was bought with the Orange payg sim, got it unlocked to
use with and keep my vodafone sim also payg. Trying to download the
automatic configuration from vodafone and i'm getting this message every
time. Sods law when it did get the settings i couldn't locate the settings
pin to save them. Any help would be very welcome.

Had this happen with a 7600 recently, found the default PIN seemed to be
0000. It may be the same on the 6230.
