BT connection to CK-7W

Hello,

I have the Nokia CK-7W Car kit and a Nokia 7610 handset.

The two work together fine with one exception.

When I want to connect to the CK-7W I have to manually go in to my
phone's BT option and tell it to connect. A friend has the same car
kit and phone but his connects automatically as he approaches his car.

I have the BT setting for the CK-7W set to Authorised.

If I pull the power cable from the CK-7W and then attach it again it
connects to my phone.

Once my phone has disconnected itself from the car kit, i.e. when I'm
out of the car, the connection is not then automatically reestablished
when I return to the car.

Any ideas what I need to do to get this working?

One of the cables from the carkit should be connected to the ignition of
your car. A other option is to puch the remote button of the carkit to make
a connection

Yep, the blue wire needs to be connected to a 12v switched live to
automatically connect when the ignition is turned on. Although as Me wrote,
pushing the button and holding it for a second or so should start the kit
searching for a paired device. If this still doesn't work, change your phone
to discoverable in the bluetooth menu (does the 7610 have this? I don't have
one) and see if this fixes the problem (although its more likely the first
problem as it should still find it when not discoverable).

Easiest place to pick up an ignition switched live is normally the radio.
