There is no certainty ... Best thing you can do is to speak with SPCS's
cancellation / retention dept, tell them that you may move your number to
T-Mobile because of Bluetooth capability, and see if they can provide some
insight on whether any of those units will be offered.

Why would retention have this information when CS doesn't?

In my experience, those in Retention / Cancellation have been in CS the
longest and if anyone would have a clue, it would be them ...

www.sprintpcsinfo.com has been tracking the T608 and explains the
uncertainities. It was on Sprint's website 2 weeks ago, for a $229 price.
SprintPCS if it ever sells it may or may not keep that price, and may or may
not offer disocunts or rebates, and either right away or after a while.
IBM and Cingular use the T616, and at some 3rd party seller's sites, the T616
ends up with rebates that are $50 more than the price of the phone.

There now appears to be SOME certainty.

It appears that Sprint has pretty much relegated the T608 to being a
"package phone" - that is, it's going to be an offer bundled with the
purchase of a Jeep, Chrysler or Dodge vehicle. Buy one that's equipped
with a built in bluetooth handsfree system, and your dealer will give
you info on how to buy one.
Whether or not it's going to be available to those of us who wouldn't
dare set foot in a Chrysler vehicle (I'll keep my Pontiac, thank you)
remains to be seen.

Yea, me too. Thanks for providing that link Isaiah. That should answer a lot
of questions posted here ...

Perhaps you have it backwards, and it's "Buy the T608 with a 25 year
contract, and you get a free Chrysler product."
