What's interesting about this phone, is that Nokia's product sheet has FM radio service capability. Also, syncing phonebooks & calendars via IR. http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6225

Cell merger - 24 Mar 2004 16:28 GMT A day later its STILL not showing on the SprintPCS web site.
http://www1.sprintpcs.com/explore/PhonesAccessories/AllPhones.jsp
Thats the phone sale web page, despite having the word Accessories in it, if you had bothered to look. But we know as a blind SprintPCS apologist you take all press releases as gospel, even if they are false.
Which in this case it was the Nokia 6225 is not available. It is not shown on the web site, and if one calls TeleSales, they will tell you it is not available yet, they don't know when it will be available, and they don't what how much it will be.
1-888-253-1315 is the number I have for Telesales. If you know of a Telesales number that is selling the Nokia 6225, please post it.

Wow, Phillie, you've become so patterned on creating ID's so that you can respond to yourself, that now you're "responding" to no one.
"...you take all press releases..."
You? You who?

Its STILL not on the web poage, not at Telesales, and not in the stores, so how is it "available". The Press Release has a link to the PCS web site, but no 6225. IT IS VAPORWARE
As our leading SprintPCS apologist, please xplain the Press Releases announcing the availability of an unavailable phone.

Why does Sprint announce the availability of an unavailable phone.
O/Siris - 26 Mar 2004 07:27 GMT > Still no answer. Phillie, you've been asked a very simple question, and now, instead of simply answering it (you know, having a conversation), now you're lying again. And just as badly as ever. You started a new thread with a post that accused someone. But you never named that someone.
To whom was your post directed?

Steven J Sobol - 26 Mar 2004 16:57 GMT > I asked you, and you obfuscate. Why did SPRINTPCS announce the Nokia > 6225 as available when it isn't? This is just speculation, but maybe it was supposed to be available and something happened that caused Nokia to pull it back at the last minute (perhaps they found a firmware bug or something)

Bob ::who won't even mention changing IDs 58 times::

SprintPCS issues a press release annoucing the mimmediate availability of the Nokia 6225.
Only problem, its a lie. The phone is not available.
Quietly the press release disappears from SprintPCS' web site.
Sprint apologists are just as quiet.
Scott Stephenson - 26 Mar 2004 23:27 GMT > Every single SprintPCS blind apologist including you. Its been answered in one of the other threads you spammed the group with.

> Only problem, its a lie. The phone is not available. No more of a lie than 99% of what you post about operational stuff.
> Quietly the press release disappears from SprintPCS' web site. So there is no press release- problem solved.
> Sprint apologists are just as quiet. No we're not- you choose to ignore the relevent posts and simply whine about this. Its not available- life will go on, Phil.

> Every single SprintPCS blind apologist including you. Then in that case, in your usual paranoia, we have no reason to answer. Sorry philly, but no one here is part of any conspiracy to cover up the existence of the 6225. Fact is, I'd love to get one of them myself. So as usual, you are barking up the wrong tree.
Maybe you should follow your own advice, and call Executive Services? :)

O/Siris - 27 Mar 2004 00:11 GMT > I asked you, and you obfuscate. As usual, Phillie, you're exactly backwards from the truth. In your post that started this thread, you referred to someone as "you". All I'm asking is who you meant when you referred to them.

YOU havent explained why your company lied about the Nokia 6225.

O/Siris - 27 Mar 2004 08:05 GMT > YOU havent explained why your company lied about the Nokia 6225. Since there was no lie, there's explanation to be had. Something happened at the last moment resulting in the phone being pulled. That isn't a lie, that's a corrective action.
You still haven't answered my question: To whom were you referring when you (Phillie) spoke to "you"?

SprintPCS announces the availability of the Nokia 6225. A week later its still not available, and not a word from Sprint, only some lame guess by you, and some insults for me for pointing out this strangeness.
Scott Stephenson - 28 Mar 2004 17:01 GMT > > > We're waiting..... > > [quoted text clipped - 7 lines] > still not available, and not a word from Sprint, only some lame guess by > you, and some insults for me for pointing out this strangeness. And you have pointed out no information to explain it. Either tell us why this happened (with facts) or shut up.

You are very specific in your words, Phillie. You are now conspicuously avoiding using the word you used just 24 hours ago: lie.
Strangeness.
If you'd used that word from the start, instead of falsely accusing the company of lying, there wouldn't have been a need to point out just how stupid your "waiting" was.

Us "apologists" as you like to call us didn't write the press release, Phillipe. And it's only your paranoia that makes you associate us with Sprint.

Jerome Zelinske - 29 Mar 2004 01:30 GMT I think that frequently, things that are promoted/announced at trade shows are subject to change by the time they eventually reach the actual sales channels. Like at the Vision kickoff convention for the Milwaukee area RadioShacks, Best Buys, Circuit Citys, etc. there was a booth that showed off a possible future 7135.
