I bought the USB connection for my sanyo 4900 to connect to my laptop, but
couldn't dig deeper into my wallet since the cable punched a hole in it, and
couldn't get the software hoping I can find on the net a free alternative.
Let me know plz

Perhaps should have bought a low cost (under $10) third party cable,
saving money for FutureDial.

Perhaps you should have tried to answer his question.

No perhaps, your snotty childish sarcasm is uncalled for.
But typical of your childfish rantings lately.
He could very well be in a position to return the cable and buy one off eBay.
Thank you very little.

You might try BitPim from http://bitpim.sourceforge.net/ -- it's not real
fancy interface, and there's a report of it not working with a Sanyo 5300,
but it talked okay with my 4900 and was very functional for what I wanted to
do.
I used version 0.7 test6, but I'd go for the latest and greatest (test7) and
see how that works for you. After you're done trying it out maybe drop a
feedback note here to let us know how it went.

All you need to do is to create a DUN connection (if you're using
Windows) and use #777 as the phone number. Leave the name/password
fields blank and try that. Should work.

Are you talking about the driver you need to get your laptop to recognize
the phone as a modem? Email me if you need it and I will email it to you.
