I jusr upgraded to VM 4500 (Sanyo 5500), Can I use my laptoop as a
modem as it did weith my olf Sanyo 5300, or do I have to load any new
drivers on the Laptop ot phone?

Also, Can you please post the settings again?

Will my old Snapsync work with the new VM4500 or do I have to biu a
new version?

Thanks

Not sure whether the VM4500 uses the same drivers as the 5300. You can check
on Futuredial's site. Once you either verify it's the same driver, or
download and install the new driver, all you do is plug your phone into your
laptop, and set up a new DUN (dial up network).
#777 is the number to call, and leave the user and password fields empty.

Yes, they should work fine --- but if you run XP goto control panel > system
> hardware tab > device manager and with the phone hooked up you should see
"futuredial usb modem" listed under modems.

Yes, but you need the 5500 module, which is on the FD site. You'll need the
CD key to get it.

You might try BitPim, a free program that seems to do what SS does --- as
well as manage the calendar.
