Making Your Own Ringtones?

Is it true that you can make and upload your own tones to your PCS phones?
I see on the Sprint website that some "tones" are actual clips from songs,
such as "Fighter" from Christina Aguilera.  I'd love to know how to do this!
I have quite an extensive MP3 library and could really enjoy playing around
with things rather than paying $2.50 for only 90 days.  So what software do
I need to get and how do I export them to my Sanyo RL2000?

Thanks :)

Reply address is fake. Please send all praise, abuse, insults, bequests of

obvious to the obvious.  Oh, and if you must abuse or insult, don't expect a
reply.  Money gets faster attention ;o)

Follow the directions on this site to make your own ringtones...you
can find the old version of WinAmp referenced at www.oldversion.com

and then switched to spray paint and stencils but the cans exploded, so
placed fingers to keyboard for this:

Thanks!  Looks pretty easy for someone that understands converting MP3s into
other formats.  I've got these bookmarked and will dive into them in detail
:)

3gupload.com for $6 will allow you to transfer ringtones.

Other software is available to convert MP3 to midi,
which the Sanyo can use. Delete the sample programs Sprint stuck on your phone,
you haev more room for stuff.

How do I go about deleting those?  And how about the other ringtones that
are on the phone?  Can I delete those as well to make room for what I
like/make?  Some of these are just plain lame!
