Sanyo 7400 Voice Prompts

Does anyone fully understand the voice command menus in the Sanyo 7400? If
you press the talk button, the phone will say the following voice prompt:

"Say a command or press again".

At this point, it seems that there are a limited set of commands that you
can speak for the phone to execute. For example, you cannot say "phone
status" at this point.

If you do not say anything, the phone will pause for several seconds and
then it will say the following voice prompt:

"Say a command"

At this point all of the voice commands are available. For example, you can
say "phone status" and the phone will execute the command and speak the
phone status.

What is the reason for this two-level voice prompt menu system? I would much
rather have the phone accept all voice commands all of the time without
having to go through two levels of voice prompting.

Also, after speaking the command "phone status" and hearing the spoken
response from the phone, I want the phone to simply go back to standby mode.
Unfortunately, the phone continues prompting with the "Say a command
message". The phone will repeat this message three times before it goes back
to standby mode. Is there any command that can be spoken that will cause the
phone to stop it's voice prompting and go immediately back to standby mode?
Please do not tell me to hit the end key as I am speaking the commands using
a headset and I do not want to physically touch the phone in order to stop
the voice prompts as that would defeat the purpose of complete hands-free
operation with the headset. How do I get this thing to "shut the cell up"?

Thanks,

There appear to be three accepted commands at this point.  If you say
anything else,  you seem to go immediately to the other menu level.
That may save you a few seconds of waiting.

I've not found one, but if you give three unrecognized commands, i.e.
<say a command> "bye" <say a command> "bye" <say a command> "bye", you
can cut the time that it takes for the phone to go to standby (which
is about 20 seconds if you say nothing).
