Thinking of switching over to PCS from T-mo.How is service in the NYC area.
To be more exact Brooklyn, Sheepheads Bay area. Also Florida, Fort
Lauderdale.

Also how is there ready link service?

Thanks

I have found outstandingly better service through SPCS than through Mextel
and I have lived in NYC my whole life. If you want to try it out I recommend
getting a Sanyo phone as a first, thay have the best reception from what I
heard.

Can only offer that service in lower Manhattan and throughout
Queens from the 59th street bridge, through Flushing, Kew Gardens,
Jamaica -- rock solid. In fact it's improved so much over the past 7
years I've been with them, that I really can't think of any
significant problems I've had lately anywhere. I have only one friend
on T-mobile, and his service isn't as good when he's in town,
particularly in Brooklyn. But that's not scientific - it could be his
phone, software or whatever.

I think you meant switching over to Sprint PCS.  You are already on one
of the PCS carriers.  T-Mobile only has PCS licenses.  They are running
2g gsm on it instead of the 3g CDMA of Sprint PCS.

I'm in NYC and NJ a lot. The service is quite solid. Five years ago,
there were a fair number of dead zones, but they all appear to have been
filled in, at least the ones where I tend to go.

I live in Florida and have lived in Fort Lauderdale. When I lived there,
near Sunrise, and now when I travel through out South Florida I have had
great sprintpcs signal. Works great down i-75 and i-95.

Sprint has good coverage outside from what I hear in NYC.  They are o
in some subways and underground areas, Verizon is the king in NYC.

T-mobile is 100% PCS network using GSM digital
Sprint PCS is 100% PCS network using CDMA digital
:rolleyes
