Hi
Can anyone tell me what coverage is like in Portland--especially the
Westside (Beaverton, Tigard, Hillboro, West Hills). I am thinking
about making the leap from Cingular.
Thanks!

Only dead spot I can recall is around NE 29 & Glisan... but, then, I'm an
Eastsider.

When I've been going to the Ryder in Tigard for fuel for my 18 wheeler, I've
had great voice coverage with my Nokia 3588i.

If you haven't seen the Sprint PCS Tower Maps, take a look here:
http://www.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/coverage/towermaps2.jsp?cityid=83&city=Portland
or
http://www.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/coverage/towermaps.html
It's not quite the same as a coverage map, but it's what SPCS offers.
I'm not aware of an equivalent for Cingular.
My visits to Portland take me to the NW and NE parts of Portland city
and coverage seems fine. I don't know about the suburbs.
Also, take a look at Dan Albich's website

I find myself in the Portland/Vancouver area a few times a year and have
never had any coverage problems anywhere. Keep in mind tho that my usage is
by no means an exhaustive analysis of the area.
