No, probably not - Are any VM phones tri-mode or at least dual-band digital,
though?

I thought Virgin Mobile only used PCS and only CDMA.

The Audiovox 8610 is tri-mode. Supposedly it will leave 1900 PCS mode to
make a 911 call. Normally it just operates in 1900 PCS, of course (no
roaming on VM.)

Nope, they are all 1900Mhz digital only. In effect, Virgin Mobile US
has eliminated the concept of roaming in association with their service,
and to do so, they use phones that will ONLY search for the Sprint
network (and a few outlying extended network partners).
