I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet... but it sure appears to me that all the latest new additions to the
"Games" category in Vision are all subscription based. That is, you have a choice of paying a monthly license fee ($3 per month)
or $6-$7 to get a 90 day license.

If you're on an airplane (using your cellphone in "disconnected" mode) or on a subway (where you get no network signal), you're S.O.L.
for playing games because the network has to always be there to verify you have a valid license for the game.

I suspect this is a permanent change for all new games being added to Vision. What an annoying way to devalue its usefulness.

You should still be able to download games from non-Sprint sources. That may
become a popular option. :)

Speaking about new games, I tried a new one, downloaded the new NTN Buzztime
trivia application. I play NTN trivia at my local watering hole 3 nights a
week. Game is in the same format on the phone as it is at the bars /
restaurants, but there is a real latency problem between servers, as one can
never get a full 1000 points for a perfect score.

After playing 4 games, I decided to get a credit on the game and to
uninstall it off the phone.

The expiration date *should* be coded into the licensing of the game.
I've played subscription-type games on Sprint before. In Airplane mode,
too. As long as the date wasn't past the assigned expiration date, the
game played.
