I have been without power/electric service for the last few days and I
have to say that sprintpcs did a great job with their network. Everyone
had to use my cellphone because t-mobile,cingular, metropcs, the roaming
providers,etc... were not working or some could only recv calls
(cingular). I'm interested what everyone else's experience has been during
the disaster in South Florida and would like to see if sprintpcs worked
just as well for them as they did for me. The only issue I had was that
the signal strength dropped (I also have a damaged/missing ant) so that I
had to stand outside to get a usable signal but it worked.

A number of cell sites probably went down.  Some of them have backup
generators that last for about 12 hours.
