Looking at purchasing the new Sanyo 4930 phone. Would like to know how the
receptions is and the display size and anything else you wish to comment on.

Appreciate your input.

Thanks,

I haven't played around with it yet. You can check out the reviews on
phonescoop to see the opinion of other owners.

Looks like a solid phone with PTT, long lasting battery & a speakerphone.
Doesn't have a digital camera, but then again a lot of people don't want a
phone that takes pictures.

I bought one for my Hubby for his birthday last month.  He likes well
enought but it does not compare to the 4900 that he had for years.  It was
really hurting from all the dropping, wrestling with our daughter etc but
it was still working.

(watch the wrap)

From what I can see, the 4930 is for construction workers and employees
who:
- beat the living hell out of their phones
- occasionally get their phones wet
- have no need for a calculator
- have no need for an earpiece (no headset jack!)
- would like more than 300 entries in their phonebook
- are bothered by the slight distortion in the 4920's speakerphone

Admittedly, the phone is brand new, I have never seen one, and I am taking
phonescoop's word for it insofar as the data above is concerned, but that
looks like about it.
