The A920 specs says that the microSD supported is up to 512 Megabytes. Does
anyone here use a larger memory card than 512 and still be able to access
the files beyond 512 megabytes?

I plan to port my number from Verizon to Sprint and I think I'll get this
phone.

Thanks in advance.

I avoided the 1gb card until I read several posts in
www.howardforums.com that the 1gb card works in the A920.  I got one for
my A920 and tried it today.

I copied 548mb of *.m4a files from an iTunes music library to the \media
folder on a 1gb card in a card reader in the PC. (.m4a files are
AAC-compressed from our CDs.  .m4p purchased files do not play on the
phone.  .mp3 files also play on the phone)

I put the card in my A920.
Menu | Media Player | Memory Card | Options | 4-memory Card Info
Used: 548.6MB, Free: 419.7MB
The songs play fine.

My wife and I both like our A920's.

Thank you so much.  I have been anxiously waiting for someone to post
confirmation of using a card bigger than 512 Mb.

I don't have the phone yet but I think I am going to get this one.  What
kind of plan do you have with Sprint?  I am currently with Verizon and am
leaning towards porting my number to Sprint.  Verizon charges a lot of money
for tethering your laptop with the phone to connect to their network now.
The phone I wanted to upgrade to with Verizon is the new RAZR V3m and this
phone is Broadband only capable and to connect your laptop to the broadband
network, you have to have a data plan, which is $60.  So, I may say goodbye
to Verizon in the next few days.
