Without a plan that includes messages, messages to your phone cost you a dime. Up to 15 cents Oct 1. Yes. Log into your PCSWireless account on sprint.com Click on "SMS Messaging" in the lower right hand corner of the page, under "My Online Tools." On the page that follows, select "Settings & Preferences" in the text Messaging Options box to the right. Select the option labeled "BLOCK ALL messages EXCEPT those in this list." You can also enter some phone numbers or e-mail addresses that you would like to receive messages from, if you like (up to 50 max). Click "save all changes." Now, all messages are blocked except for anyone who might be in your "allow" list.  SignatureE-mail fudged to thwart spammers. The messages sent via email like this are consider "notifications" and work even on phones that are not SMS capable. I was NEVER charged a fee for any of those messages and they never showed on my bills. That may change, so you had better verify before doing it. SignatureThomas T.
