I'm thinking of upgrading to this phone and Sprint
service
Any advice good or bad on this phone?
Will the BT connection work with a laptop or PPC?

I've had the phone for almost a month. The screen resolution isn't as
high as the Samsung A900. But. You don't have to upgrade to Power
Vision, either. I haven't played with BT. Just basic phone stuff and
occasionally picking up email. No problems so far. With BT off, back
lights etc set to minimum, battery life is OK. Not as cool as the
A900, but it does all I need it to do.

I bought the Katana for a friend of mine. The Sprint store could not
transfer the numbers from her old Sanyo phone to the new one (they said
the phone was so new they didn't have the software to do so) but they
did print them out. I used my Mac to create a .vcf vcard of all the
contacts, and transfered that to the phone via Bluetooth. I didn't see
a way to transfer images from the Mac to the Katana to be used as
contact photos.
I like the phone and so does my friend. Her only complaint that I know
of is about the recharging port (it's on the side and you have to pull
out the rubber cover before plugging it in).
If you can, go to a Sprint store that has working models and play around
with it.
