I know: Data roaming works on Verizon now. :)

It started working very well about three weeks ago. I believe that it is
part of Sprint's campaign to aggressively market their products to the
business and corporate customers. These customers require constant data
access regardless of the coverage area.

Many newer phones can now use data roaming. You want to have the vision
pack and an plan that does not charge for roaming. I would also make
sure that you have the latest PRL update. (Call Sprint and ask for one.
It's free.) This is great in areas where Sprint does not have EVDO
coverage and another network (like Alltel) does. As long as you have
those two packages, there are no extra charges. Enjoy!

1) 10035? or do you need something even latest?
2) While I have been in areas that I have received text messages, I have
yet to be in area that I can browse the web while roaming....
(Vision plan)

Only certain phones have this ability. For instance, I know the Katana
can (though it cannot use EVDO/High Speed) but the Samsung A920 cannot
do this.
PRL 20225 is the latest for EVDO phones.
PRL 10036 is the latest for non-EVDO phones.
These are the ones that enable data roaming.
