We have a corporate contract with both cingular and sprint.
Since we are in Little Rock Arkansas, and sprint has very little
coverage here most have gone with cingular.
Well We wanted to get the new data coverage from either company.
We first called sprint after hearing of 1-2 mbps...no thats not in
your area yet...ok when?... soon....how soon?....soon....think I saw
this in a mel brooks movie once.

Right now people are seeing 200-300kbps on a good system with sprint.

Cingular is getting 300-600kbps on a good signal.

Neither speed is what I call $50.00 month worthy or am I missing
something. Ok speed don't mean much its this or nothing....right?

Does anyone have any info on what might be done with the data coverage
and speeds in my area?

well thats where Alltel has corporate offices, and they are only boasting
200-400 and maybe 600 but their service is only 29.00...and there never is
roaming with Alltel....I think I am going to cancel Sprint and go back...

sorry for taking so long to reply...been out of town.

So you are saying that sprint will not upgrade this area because of
Alltel?
Who or what is offering data services for $29.00?

Yep we have Alltel offices down the street from me but they have never
mentioned any data services.
