Another broken Vista device.
Has anyone been able to connect to their A900 using Vista? I'd like to be
able to offload my pictures but Vista only sees this phone as a modem. Used
to work. I re-installed the USB driver but didn't help. I downloaded the
link software to my XP laptop and all the install verbiage is in some
non-human language. I'm not even 100% sure which A900 model I have. Can't
find the box. Was there software included with this phone?
Vista is killing me.

it sounds to me like you did not upgrade. I baught vista and iupgraded
from XP but did not do a CLEAN install. I left everything on my
system. This is why i think i can hook my A900 up to the pc and have
it open with no problem. However vista did tell me that it could not
find drivers for my divice. however that was okay because it's
working. i checked computer and it has my phone in there as removable
storage. Maybe samsung will come out with vista drivers.

I also did an upgrade, not clean install. When I plug the phone in the phone
says "USB Connection" but Vista does not see it as a removable storage. Only
as a modem. I'm not sure if XP saw the phone as a modem also. I never
looked.
