I have searched and searched and am unable to find and answer to my
question.  I have multiple phones on my account and would like to be
able to monitor the text messages being sent to and received to a
particular phone on my account.  Is there a way this can be done?

You can't monitor the content of the messages but you can keep track of the
number of messages being sent by checking your usage via the Sprint website.

Why not just ask the person who has the phone..
Simple

That would defeat my purpose...it's a security concern for a child.
If they know I am looking then I would not find what I am looking for.

Parents who intrude are abusive.  I hope you get caught and your child sues
you.

Parents who "intrude" on a minor child are being good parents,
unlike the recent 'hands-off' generation that is producing mostly
self-indulgent juvenile delinquents. If the OP was suspecting his
child of being a dope dealer, would you not want some intervention?

If by "dope," you mean marajuana, then I vote for law change, not child
change.  I am a parent, and I am very hands-on--- I am a stay-at-home
father.  My son is no delinquent, and neither was I.  I guess the physical
and mental punishments of my youth had more to do with power-tripping
parents, than my need to be disciplined.

When I was young, back in the 1990s, we could not afford a car, or a
computer, or cable, or (sometimes) a phone.  Before text messages and IMs,
there were hand-written notes.  I spent months grounded to MY BED over the
otherwise benign contents of these archaic pieces of paper.  (What do you
take away when the kid already has none of the things other kids have?  You
take away the floor.)  I was raised "the old way," and it took years of
adulthood to cope with normal society.  Thanks to people like you.  No,
really--- thanks.

Disapline with a firm but solid hand is the way to teach kids they are the
kids and we are the parents and we make the rules as long as you live under
oure roofs. PEROD.
if you dont like it hit the streets and see how tough you really are.

No offense, my friend, but if you were "young back in the 90's" then
you're still young!

As someone who was young in the 40's and 50's, I tend to agree.

I wasn't born in Texas but
I got back here as soon as I could
(Don't forget to take out the trash)

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent,
but you'd be a fool to withhold that from your superiors.

I am the oldest of five, so I have parents, but I am also a proud parent
myself.  So I guess it was spoken as a parent, after all.

It is called "trust."  do everything on the "up and up."

In the immortal words of Ronald Reagan, "trust, ...but verify."
justin  lee - 23 Mar 2007 18:48 GMT
I grew up in the 80s and 90s, so Reagan's policies are not exactly my
favorite.  He may have been great at what he did, but he did not leave his
conservative message in the most capable hands.

I assume that if you are suspecious, they must be some reason.  Instead of
trying to catch them doing something, block text messaging and tell your kid
that you do not trust them to use it responsibly.
