If you buy a new phone from a Sprint store they will transfer your
phone book to your new phone for free

That only if the idiots working there know how.
I upgraded from a Samsung A640 to a Samsung A900M and the staff was
unable to transfer my 200 phonebook.

Other than that,  the A900M is a great phone.

Sprint and the other CDMA carriers should just go to sim cards and solve
this problem, in Asia, CDMA carriers use sim like cards.  I know this
doesn't solve your problem.

Other options is to move them to a PC, then move then to the new phone when
you get it.  Samsung does provide PC support software as a free download, I
guess its just the cost of the compatable usb cable.

BTW, my daughter just got a Cingular Sync which is a similar phone, I agree,
excellent phone and exclellent value for the money.  Far better then my
wife's Razr V3i.
