Thanks! I'll pass to my son, and might even use one for an EV-DO
card.

What's a SERO account? I tried Google but got some stuff on sprintusers.com
and it didn't explain what it was, just what features it has. I don't see
anything different than what I have.

It's a great deal. Sprint Employee Referral Offer, or something
close. 1250 minutes for $50 with unlimited data, and similar.

I need a new line for my son, and wouldn't do it any other way.

Thanks for the explanation. Too bad I don't know anyone that works for
Sprint. But then again, I don't use anywhere near my 1,000 minutes for $40
per month (I also get free unlimited data and N&W starting at 8PM), so it
would be a waste for me. Now if I could get 1,000 minutes for $20 a month
and free data... now that would be worth trying to find a Sprint employee
friend.

Somebody has already posted a Sprint employee email address you can use.

If you go to www.sprint.com/sero , you'll find that there's a 500 minute
plan for $30/month, with power vision included.  And other goodies.

try first.last@sprint.com

I don't think the validation checks are particularly rigorous

I already have 1,000 minutes, N&W at 8PM and free Vision on my Treo 650 for
$40.I don't think I can get better than that. I don't come anywhere near
using 1,000 minutes a month so it wouldn't really be worth it for me to do
this. My ideology is why be greedy? If I could benefit some how, then great
but I can't use EVDO anyway with my phone. right? I can't afford a new Treo,
if I could, I have other things I could use more than a new phone. I'm
trying to save for a Beretta Px4 9mm.

Thanks anyway for the information.

Try sprint.com/sero then enter a valid sprint employee email address to see
the phones and plans available thru inphonics. Great plans at great prices.
Too bad Sprint's CS is sooooo bad.

inphonics no longer handles the SERO plans. It's done direct through
Sprint now. Heavily discounted phones, unlimited text messaging,
unlimited data, 500 or 1250 minutes. Excellent plans.

Ordered three Sero plans in May and it was all handled thru Inphonics. The
website did say sprint.com/sero, but regular Sprint TS could not give me the
Sero plan. Had to do it online or call Inphonics TS.

And the middle of May Sprint stopped using them. Check out the
sprintusers.com/forum for more information.  And as the other poster
pointed out nights and weekends start at 7pm and run to 7am.
