I read in another post that Verizon is moving away from CDMA. What are they going to use? GSM? What about their existing customer base? What will it cost to convert their towers? How much will that disrupt the reliability of their network? Is this all just a rumor, or will Sprint customers be the only ones left on CDMA? In the same manner as the GSM operators with their future technology choices, the current CDMA operators will probably support existing CDMA technologies for many years in the future. At least Verizon will, there is the question of whether Sprint can remain a viable company. |
