Juggling contract commitments

I have two existing t-mobile numbers on one account and I was looking
to add a third number temporarily (for about a month) for my parents
visiting from abroad, so they can use it temporarily with an old phone
that I have.

I was thinking I'd add it on a non-contract basis but looking at posts
in this group, it seems like it's either impossible or very hard to
do.  Is that still true?

If it is, then I wonder if I can go ahead and get a new subsidized
phone out of the deal, sign a contract, and then apply the contract to
one of my existing phone numbers so that I can kill the third number.
Both my current numbers, unfortunately, are under contracts that
expire later this year, but I'm willing to extend my commitment by
another year on one of those numbers.

Has anyone here done anything like this?  Is T-Mobile pretty flexible
about their contract commitments?

Thanks,
Sid

No.  A contract is a contract.  If you don't want the additional
committment then it would be easiest to get your parents some pre-paid
time.

Not too sure on the combining of contracts.  As far as finding a way
other then pre-paid to avoid a contract.. it won't happen.  I recently
activated a new phone for a sibling, I provided the phone *and* the sim
card and T-Mobile still required a 1 year contract.

Good Luck

I doubt they will let you do this.  You might want to consider prepaid
service.  You can use your old phone, and get a new SIM and but some
airtime.
