Does anyone have any idea if T-Mobile will be offering the Nokia 6310i in
the foreseeable future?
It looks like a very nice phone, but quite pricy if I have to buy it on the
open market.
Thanks,

I doubt it. The phone has been discontinued. If you really want one,
you'll need to snap it up from a third party vendor while you still can.
Look at someone like expnasys.us.

There is no direct replacement. There are business class tribands, but they
don't fit the car kit and have a completely different form factor.

Feature-wise it would probably be the Nokia 6600.
There is no real model that was brought out to "replace" it.
It's too bad that a phone that works really well and has good
"business" features, standby time of up to two weeks, was
discontinued. Probably it was discontinued because it's bigger than
the latest phones and that it doesn't have a color screen (which gets
washed out in bright outdoor light) or polyphonic ring tones (which
often cannot even be heard in noisy environments.)

It's a really good phone unfortunately it's a little late for T-Mobile
to pick up this phone. It's being discontinued.
As for being pricey depends on what you consider pricey. Originally
they sold for over $200. You can get them on ebay for around $100 or
less now.
It's the best phone I've ever owned.

If it's such a great phone, why is it being discontinued?

They offered it when it first came out but I haven't seen it on their list for
a couple of years now.
Buy one from E-Bay.

Never. I am guessing because it does not have a camera or a color screen.
I bought mine off of EBay for $300 and it's worth every bit of that.
Getting the internet over BT to a PDA is one of the best things about this
phone. That and the long battery life, great screen, easy GUI, etc.
