I have an S105 from T-Mobile. I've had it for over 6 months, and I have had
T-Mobile provide me with the unlock codes, etc. So, supposedly it should
have worked. One of my friends was going to India and asked if he could use
it there, so I let him. When he went there though, he found out that
there's some other software setting which doesn't allow the phone to work
there. Some people are offering to re-program the phone there for about
$35, but I don't know if the phone will work when he brings it back here.
What is this additional restriction? I asked the T-Mobile rep, and he said
it should work.
Help you be apprciated,
Thanks,

The s105 from tmobile is only a dual band phone which only enables it to
work in europe. You need a tri -band phone to work in india.

The S105 is a triband phone, but supposedly it needs some different software
to work in India. Does anyone know more about this?
