Deutsche Telekom, which is on Thursday expected to announce its dividend
levels for 2004 amid steady rises in core earnings, is believed to be
considering offloading its remaining 25% stake (about $4 billion) in
Russia's leading mobile phone operator, Mobile Telesystems (MTS), as it
continues to focus on Europe and the US.

Search Yahoo! News for "Deutsche Telekom MTS" for multiple sources.

> Russia is in europe.

but europeans consider russia to be their unwanted cousin... a lot of
europeans i know try to disassociate themselves from russia when asked "hey,
isn't russa part of europe?" and tend to reply along the line of "well, yes,
but no, they're .... "

technically, when a lot of people refer to europe, they're talking about
western europe. like "hey i'm going to europe on vacation."
