TZones and SonyEricsson products dont play well together. The reason
being that some of SE products do not incorporate the "Proxy" method of
connecting to WAP servers. The way around this is to have Tmobile turn
off their proxy server, which they do on occasion when they are doing
maintenence to their site, which is why sometimes it works, sometimes
it doesn't.
The same problem has been frustrating Z600, T616, T637 users. The
newer K700i from SE does have a proxy server config setup so it works
just fine. When TMobile selects a phone to officially support, they
configure their system to recognize and allow content to that phone (ie
the T610).
So, another back-door is to flash your phones identifier with the T610
setup to make the server "think" your T630 is really a T610.
As for me, i use a T637 and while i can not normally access the TZones
main page, i have copied all my "bookmarks" via bluetooth from my T610
and can access my TZones bookmark page, TZones weather, email, etc...
pages with no problem.
Hope that helps.
hominid7,
Thanks for the fix! I created sub-page bookmarks (My Money, My News, My Scores, etc) for all the content on T-Zones that I care about and moved them to the new phone. I can access all of them just fine. So this works as a good trick to side step the T-Zones "front door".
I've tried direct access to My T-Zones or T-Zones main several times and still just the blank white page.
Thanks again,
Bob

call the customer care department to ensure that you still have the TZones service on you account with the correct WAP deck. you could have the outdated TZones or the old WAP on it. if this is the case then they expire eachother out. some phones do not support the TZones either as well, some places in NY do not support this feature in the area. you might want to contact TECH Support about this too! :)
Hi-- Im trying to get my t637 (cingular, unlcoked) to connect to

in your phone menu go into Connectivity-> Data Comm ->T-zones -> Edit.
Post or reply with your settings. Maybe someone can help with that info.

Have you tried the configurator at the Sony Ericcson website?
Just click on products, select the T637, then select "support for the
T637", and then select WAP from the "phone setup" list. This sends the
settings to your phone after you enter your phone number. Don't know if
that will help, but it's worth a try.

It is possible that your phone has WAP Lock. Cingular and some others lock
the WAP settings so you cannot select in some cases, or cannot even change
the settings in others.
This is different then the normal "unlock" folks refer to. That lock only
refers to the SIM Subsidy Lock.
The WAP lock is a software lock in the handset that requires a software
update ie flash to remove the carrier specific software...
Then reload all your WAP settings etc...

In you connections setup make sure that the "T-Zones GPRS" setting is
set as the default. However, if you don't see a GPRS indicatior on you
phone there may be a reception problem.
