I'm approaching the end of my contract with Tmobile and I'm considering another year with them if I can get a good deal on a phone upgrade.  I checked at a local reseller where all the phones were displayed with two prices.  He said if I upgrade I would pay the cheaper price for a phone (which was still pretty high IMHO).  Do the Tmobile customer service reps have the option to offer me a better deal (to get me to sign up again, of course)?  If you were upgrading how would you do it?

I was offered several models (forget which ones) between $0 and $50 after
mail-in rebates if I did another year.  One was the Samsung e105 for $100 -
$100 rebate = free.  I didn't ask about any of the really expensive stuff.
They said 11 months after my last phone was the critical point.

Which phone were you looking at and how much did they want?

Thanks for the reply.  I'm not sure yet which phone I want.  I want to figure that out before I call Tmobile.  Did you go with the Samsung e105, and would you recommend it?  I currently have the t610 and I'm looking for better reception and voice quality.

I got a crummy Siemens first and returned it.  By the time I sent it back,
the e105 was out of stock.  I am going to get it when I can.

Right now I have the samsung s105, which is sort of the previous model (not
as round looking though).  The menu and other features are not nearly as
advanced as the t610, but it makes phone calls better.  If you want better
reception and sound, I would definitely suggest the e105 (even though I
haven't used it yet).  The IR port uses proprietary software, but it does
have it.

SIEMANS is not a good brand, try Nokia or Samsung...they have them as upgrades all the time for no or little payout after rebate.  call customer care for your options
