Roaming Internationally With Blackberry

Trying to figure out pricing from the T-Mobile website is a true exercise in
futility.

I just replaced my V600 with a Blackberry (which I like, although I miss a
lot of the "phone" features the V600 had, notably voice dialing.)

I travel quite a bit internationally.  I know how to figure out
international calling rates (fairly straightforward), but figuring out how
much it would cost to keep my blackberry running and downloading e-mail is
impossible.

Any hints?  Upcoming trips to Mexico and Belgium make me want to know this
before I leave rather than getting a huge bill and associated "sticker
shock".  If the roaming is outrageous, I believe I can shut off the data
functions and just use the b-berry as a telephone.

I just returned from a 5-week trip through 8 different East and West
European countries with my Sierra Aircard-equipped notebook. I've done this
for two years now, and I always get charged the same: $15.00/megabyte.
Downloading a page of jokes from my sister (371Kb) cost me over $5.00 just
for that one email.

I got my bill for just 3 days of usage this trip, and it was $121.00+ just
for data charges! I hate to see what the rest of the month will be. Probably
another $200.00 to $300.00 plus the regular stuff. Fortunately, there's no
additional roaming fees, and I was anywhere from Germany to Poland to
Bosnia-Herzegovina.

I guess if it's important for you to check your email (as I do), it's worth
it when other connections aren't available.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I had assumed that looking at my data use on the monthly bill would
allow me to calculate estimated cost.  I turned off some forwarding on a
recent trip to Amsterdam and with minimal email and web browsing there
was only a $2.00 charge for the week.  Does your data charge on the
monthly bill reflect your usage for means of charging for roaming?

Usually pressing the power button will do it!
