I made cursory look at the features of both of these phones and could
not see any significant one beyond their looks. It seems that Moto
simply spread out the bulky V330 into a slimmer design: reducing depth
at the expense of width and height.  Is there more to it?

It has Bluetooth, video recording, better OS, and a better keypad. Other
than that, it pretty much looks the same on the outside.  I have heard of a
few strange issues with this phone, but I don't have one so I can't say for
sure.

What are you talking about?  The V330 can also do video clips and has
Bluetooth. The rest is just looks and feel which I readily grant you.
Better OS? That needs to be qualified to me better than just saying it's
better.  Better in what way?

One significant difference between V3 and other phones is : reception. V3
gets better reception than any other phones that I have ever used. I have
used quite a lot of other phones. V3 is amazing for reception.

Have you had a V330 to compare that reception?  'Cause I find V330's
quite good, too, but then I haven't tried V3.  Thanks for that link,
BTW; it is quite useful.

Doh.. for some reason I was thinking V300 vs V330... If your talking about
the V3 Razr, there is simply no comparison.  The V3 is a much much much
better phone and also looks a ton better (and you can slip it in your pocket
easily unlike the bulky V330).  It also has dual color screens if that
matters to you.

Oh, then I should have waited with my reply to your previous post. In
any case, I agree that if I was buying a phone right now I would go for
the V3 instead of the V330, even at the higher price. However, the
differences are not great enough for me to drop my V330 and go for V3. A
few months from now we will probably be talking the same way about V3 in
comparison to yet a newer model as we are talking now about V3 vs. V330.

That is 100% true.  There is always a 'better' phone that will come along.
But for now, the V3 is a really good phone.
