After dropping my month old phone yesterday (thankfully on carpet!) I
decided it was time to stop putting it off and get a case for the
thing.
There's a Cingular store just around the corner from me so I popped in
there. Saw a leather case with a thin little clip on the back that
looked perfect, and it was only $19.95.
Unfortunately, I don't think it was worth $1.95, let alone what I paid
for it. It was a pain in the behind to get the phone in there. When
it's closed, the hole for the camera lens lines up just fine.
Unfortunately, when it's open it's about 1/2 inch away, so the
camera's useless. Not to mention the fact that when you flip it open,
the phone tends to fall right out of the case, and between the seats
of my car at the most inopportune times.
Needless to say, this piece of junk will be going back tomorrow. I
guess there's always that Krusell case. Or maybe I'll just keep in
naked and hope I don't bang it up too much.

Take that case back and go to Motorola's website or find a retailer that's
selling the Motorola OEM leather case for the Razr. Quite a few retailers
sell Motorola OEM stuff. Usually the best fitting cases are the ones
marketed by the phone manufacturers, but they're not cheap.

Went back to the Cingular outlet this morning. They don't give
refunds. (WHAT!?!?!) Guy said sorry, you can exchange for something
else but no refunds. I was a bit honked off, but he agreed to give me
a different case that was $5 as an even exchange. This one's more of a
pouch style thing you take the phone out of when it rings, but it
seems to work alright I guess.
Oh well.
