Treo 600/650 and battery life?

I may opt to switch to TMobile at the end of 2006 or start of 2007 when my
contract with VZW is up (Nov 2006).

If I do switch, I'd look for an unlocked Treo 600/650 and put the SIM from
TM's cheapest phone into the Treo.

For you Treo owners, what is the battery life like?   How stable/reliable
is the PalmOS when making/receiving calls?   How flexible is the
multitasking if browsing the net, or using an ssh client (tussh) and
working the phone, too?

My goal is to get an older Treo, such as the 600/650, to provide
multitasking functionality at a lower cost than a newer Treo.

Thanks for any feedback.

Then youll pay about $500-600. You can get just a SIM from TM, by the
way.

The battery life depends heavily on how much you use the device and
how you use it. The screen itself draws down power, the phone draws
down more, as does the Internet. Generally, I found my 600 would go
about 3 days with moderate use between charges.

I never really did much multitasking, so I can't speak to that.

The 650 is the newest Treo. There is nothing newer than that on the
market right now.

I have  Treo 650 and it doesn' t allow multitasking, i.e. talkng on the
phone and using the web. They are exclusive of one another. Now you can use
the phone and most other apps at the same time. I find that I can go two
days without charging if I have to and I use my PDA functions and data
connection alot, but I normally top off the charge every day.
