I am with tmobile since Omnipoint !:)
but looks like cingular starts offering
more features than TMo - push to talk,
rolling very high speed data very soon,
more phone choices.
Is anyone knows about TMo planes
to "catch up" with rest providers?
We used to have all features first:
sms, mms, color screen phones (siemens s12)
now we are behind all :(

How's Cingular's network coverage compared to T-Mo's in your area? That's
the most important question to ask, before considering the bells and whistles...

Well,
One data point for you... you may notice some agreement around here that
Cingular's customer service is _really_ bad. I had terrible problems
with them several years ago, and as a matter of principal I've resolved
to have nothing to do with them.
They likely have better coverage than T-Mobile in the US, and yes they
seem to have more phones/features at this point. I can't speak to
pricing. I also understand that T-Mobile will SIM-unlock phones
purchased from them after a "reasonable" time period (1-3 months?) but
that Cingular will not do this.
I pretty much feel that I have "enough" from T-Mobile at this time to be
fairly happy with them, and I must say that I've been very pleased with
their customer service.
If you don't need international roaming, you might look into Verizon
Wireless, who I think has the best coverage of any of the carriers in
the US, but since they don't use GSM they don't have "international"
phones (except for, I think, one or two dual-technology models at pretty
steep prices).
Hope this helps.

I am a cingular user who switched from t-mobile because of coverage
issues.
If t-mo had adequate coverage I'd prefer it because of customer service
and data plan prices.

Haven't switched (yet...), but otherwise I'm in 100% agreement.

And I was a Cingular user for several years before switching to tMob... but
I'll probably be back on Cingular within a few months. In spite of Cingular's
poor customer interface they do seem to have better coverage in my area - and
that's what counts to me.

T-Mobile now roams Cingular's 850 MHz coverage in many (not all) areas. So,
the coverage issue is not as severe as it once was. (Still no GSM service in
Chadron, Nebraska though. That's always been my personal test for when GSM
will be "good 'nuf".)

I'm not sure "many" yet applies. Now that I have a quad-band device,
I'm testing the roaming capabilities in Cingular's 850 mHz territory.
Far more times than not, I've not been able to authenticate onto the
system.
In fairness, however, T-Mobile has updated its coverage maps to
include 850 coverage, so all one has to do to see what their coverage
will be now is to look at the current coverage maps.

If you're in Wisconsin, go with Einstein PCS. Unlimited GSM plans.

Welp,
I would say it depends on the coverage in your home area. I'm in the DC
Metro area and T-Mo is great, I always have service and their pricing and
customer care dept are top notch. Never had a problem unlike Sprint.
