I shall be glad to know if anyone is using the Samsung X495 on T-Mobile.

I use a Siemens CF62T on a To Go account and while the phone has excellent
reception and voice clarity, the display can hardly be seen outdoors and the
ring can hardly be heard outside too.

Regards and thanks for any insight.

I am using the Cingular variant, X497.  Decent BASIC phone.
I have no problems seeing the outer display or the inner display outdoors.
I can also hear the ringer outdoors and indoors IF I have it set to the
loudest.
The only issue indoors with the ringer is in a mall.  The white noise from
water fountains, a staple
at a local mall, makes it kinda hard to hear.  In this case, just set to
vibrate.

Reception is good, voice clarity is good as well.

If you are looking for a good basic phone the X495 is one I'd recommend

Thanks very much for the response. I am getting the X495 within a month or
so. I have had good reports about this as a pretty decent basic phone from
local sources too.

Regards.
