I have a T-Mobile SDA which runs Windows Mobile 2005.  I use bluetooth.
I have created a voice tag for my wife.  It wasn't good.  I deleted
and recreated it.  Now I have two voice tags that it recognizes for my
wife, but only one dials.  Per T-Mobile support, I deleted the voice
tag and contact and recreated it.  Now I have 3 voice tags with my
wife's name, and only one of them works.  So 66% of the time it doesn't
do anything.

As it stands, T-Mobile wants me to do a factory reset to defaults each
time I want to delete a tag.  I opted to get a replacement phone with
the hopes to get newer firmware, but they can't say for certain this
will fix the problem.  And it cost me $9, the loss of of my personal
info except that which I can transfer, and possible the replacement
with be a remanufactured phone.

Is there anyway to remove these old voice tags that are still
recognized but don't show up in the voice tag list?   I see these are
stored in CommandModel1.bin but I was told not to delete this file.

Okay, for anyone who runs into this issue where you delete a voice tag
and it doesn't delete.  You don't have to get a new phone or reset to
factory default.

In \Program Files\SAPI is commandModel1.bin

It sucks, but what you do is this;

Go to start, more, Speed Dial.  Menu, Filter(4), Voice Tags (3)

Delete all of them.

Now all your voicetags are still there, they just don't associate to
anything.

Go into \program files\SAPI and either delete, or rename
commandmodel1.bin.

Now you are starting fresh on voice tags.  You can retrain your voice
tags.

You might want to back the file up from time to time.

You may need to setup the phone to display hidden, system files.  Or
use ActiveSync explorer.
