Hello all,

I'm able to work remotely but I'd like more flexibility with where I
can work from.  A problem I ran into was working at a library I had
internet access but could not connect to my company VPN (which I must
do to connect to remote desktops).  I'm assuming the library has
certain ports blocked?

So I'd like to work anywhere without worry of these kinds of
restrictions.  Any thoughts on this?  On price?  On quality of
service?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryce

It could be due to a lot of factors. Some companies, especially
financial ones, require special client software to be installed on a
computer to assist with an authentication process. Often, it will be
from Citrix Systems or similar vendors. This would "stymie" your
effort because you wouldn't be able to install that plug in on a
computer where you didn't have administrator privileges.

Get a true mobile Internet service, like T-Mobile Internet and use the
same machine to do all your work. If your company allows you to access
its VPN remotely, they should have tech staff that's willing to help
you.
