Someone told me that tmobile will not insure sidekicks bought from
dealers rather than a tmobile store.

Is that true?  My buddy tried to get insurance on his sidekick and
they said he couldnt add it because he didnt buy it from a tmobile
store.

Well it may be that the policy has changed, but as of May of last
year, while I worked in customer care with t-mo, as long as you
purchased the phone from one of their authorized dealers, and not thru
a 3rd party, such as a friend, ebay, etc. you could add the
insurance.  It is important to understand however, that the policy set
forth in regard to handset insurance, is set by the insurance
provider, not t-mobile, and is subject to change.

If they means tmobile, and TMobile says they won't insure it, call
again. Speak to a second person. If the second person says no, ,then
it looks like the answer is no.
