Sony T610, SIM problem?

I was given a Sony T610 from a relative in Asia. I also have an existing
acct with T Mobile with Ericcsson T28 W. I thought changing phone is as
simple as swapping SIM, but the Sony recognize the T Mobile's SIM card
(it asks for PIN) but then nothing else happens.

Anybody know what I need to do to make the Sony works with T Mobile SIM?

The only thing you have to make sure of is that the phone is unlocked.
Otherwise, if it is a T610, it should work.

If you need more info on the unlocking, check out
http://gsm.virtualdynamix.com ... they have done well for me.

Another thing you can try is asking a TMobile rep if they can unlock
it. Some are willing to do this.
