Must be! Couldn't be just the price that T-Mobile sells the cards for,
huh?
I should start a business selling cards below cost -- Take a loss, but
make it up in volume?

It's not "illegal price fixing"- it's simply that there isn't much profit
in prepaid cards.
I used to sell wireless prepaid cards back when I was a Cingular dealer.
The margin was only 15% (i.e. a $100 card wholesaled for $85.) I'm told
things haven't changed much since then.
So unless the dealer loves losing money, you aren't going to see them
sell for less than the high 80's, low 90's, even in "bulk." Occasionally
you'll find better prices on eBay, usually when a wireless dealer has
gone out of business and is selling below cost.
My advice to the OP, if he'll need these cards in quantity often, is to
contact Cingular andb ecome a prepaid dealer so he can buy at wholesale.
Or, optionally, get the same Cingular service at a lower rate from an
MVNO like Beyond Wireless.
