Blackberry 7105t No Tzones, No Globe, No messaging

Hello all
I just got a blackberry 7105t, I purchased it from Ebay . It's used .
The Phone works fine but it has no Tzones. There is not any Icon. No T or
Globe. No text messaging either.
I called T-mobile and The 3rd Blackberry Tech I got told me the globe
wasn't coming up because I'm using a T-mobile To Go prepaid. He said I would
have to get a postpaid [ regular] plan.
It seems strange to me that there isn't a Icon on the Blackberry. I
would think, if it wasn't going to let me go there it would tell me but
still have the Icon. Does any have any ideas on this. I think The Tech may
have been wrong or not concerned because he rather sell me a plan .What do
you think?

I was told recently at the store that I could not use the Blackberry
functions on the To-Go plan. I have the data-only plan now for $30 and
have everything but voice.

An excellent resourse for getting T-Zones to work on various devices
