There's a family plan being advertised in the New York metro area that
essentially raises the allotment of minutes received for $49.99 to
1,000 from 700. However, when I both go to the Web site and call
T-Mobile, they know nothing of it.

Has anyone else seen this and/or inquired about it?

I've seen it, or similar ones, in the past. I'll
keep an eye out in the next couple of days and
get back to you..

It was on the website when I just checked it.  It's called Family Time
1000.

There's a big catch- no free nights and weekends. The $59 plan has 700
anytime, unlimited N&W.  All the family plans have unlimited mobile-to-
mobile.

I too see it now. Either I was just out of it when I first checked the
site or they hadn't updated the plans properly here.

I see that; I get the plan you list above and probably wouldn't switch
just for the extra 300 anytime. That said, I think that while nights &
weekends lure people in, most people probably don't use anywhere near
the bulk of their monthly minutes that way unless they use their
cellular as a replacement for their landline. So, in a way, the free
nights & weekends aren't as critical as people think if they really
examined their usage.

I agree completely- however, it's an important feature to some people so
I thought I should point it out.
