Plan for voice+data?

I was just reviewing TM's US rate plans.  Does their Internet service at
$6/month permit me to use:

- a GSM-enabled pda to perform whatever Internet activity I want?

- a plain ol' bluetooth-enabled GSM phone bonded with a bluetooth-enabled
PDA to make a data calls through the phone to perform whatever Internet
activity I want?

I would also be subscribing to a voice plan for the same device.

If not the $6/month plan, what monthly data-oriented plan would I then
utilize for either of the above two scenarios?

Also, if the $6/month plan would not work, why not?   What restrictions
does it impose?

Thanks.

No, there are sigificant restrictions to the $6 "T-Mobile Web" plan.
It's for e-mail and web browsing only.  Having said that, I find it
suitable for my needs.  The service, while "unlimited" in the amount of
data you can transfer, is port limited.  The only ports open are e-mail
(POP, IMAP, and SMTP standard ports, both secure and unsecure) WAP port
9201, and a proxy server for htpp and https at 216.155.165.50, port 8080.
In addition, file downloads over 1MB are blocked.  The closed ports
prevent FTP, file sharing, streaming audio/video, and some internet-
enabled Java apps from working.

Again, not "whatever" activity.  Just browsing and e-mail will work.

You'd have to-the $6 plan is not available separately.

"Total Internet" for $30/month with a Voice plan, or $50 without is
unrestricted.

Answered in-line above.
