Hi,...

i have a big Probelm with my MDA-III.

I've downloaded the Update for the MDA-III (02.2006) because my Version
was a little bit older.

After the Installing and the beginning update, the Screen from the
MDA-III was Black, all LEDs are off.
Then, the Update Prgramm talk to me that he missed the Connection...

After then, i cannot start my nice MDA-III

But i can see on the unbacklighted Screen the words:

USB

V2.07

OR, if i have the PDA in my Hand:

Serial

V2.07

What can i make to connect the PDA again to make a correct update?
The "Windows mobile Devicemanager"  (Vista Ultimate 32 Bit) connot make
a connection to the MDA-III in that Modi.

Thank you for Help...

Regards

Andreas

Your device is stuck in what's called "bootloader mode"- it got far along
in the update to corrupt/erase it's old software, but doesn't have the
new software yet and is waiting for it.

You should be able to simply run the updater again to fix it.

That's ok- run the updater program anyway- you're trying to update it,
not sync it!  The first thing the updater does is disconnect the sync
connection anyway!

If it won't run, see if you can try it from an XP machine if available.

Also, check out xda-developers.com for more detailed instructions on
recovering from bootloader mode.
