I use my RAZR more for e-mails and WAP browsing than for talk. I can
hardly wait for 3G.

I must be the only guy on the face of the earth satisfied with EDGE! ;-)
Sure, faster is always better, but EDGE's 150k has been more than
adequate for mobile e-mail and light browsing on my handset. (Of course
I first used mobile data over analog cellular at 4800bps then 14.4k TDMA
CSD, so EDGE spoils me by comparison!)
I'll take 3G if they include it in my $6 T-Mo Web subscription, but I
wouldn't pay extra for 3G...

No, you've got at least one other person who is. I find EDGE on my
Blackberry 8700 to be very nice. I'd see no reason to go out and spend
another $300 or more to get a new device to support HSDPA.

That is good to know.
I actually have not used EDGE yet. I will probably get an EDGE phone on
eBay.
I am actually grandfathered in for the $2.99 per mo unlimited T-Zones and
300 text messages. Which is the best deal in town for e-mail and light WAP
browsing.
I was wondering if T-Mobile will charge more for 3G service. There is no
extra charge from GPRS to EDGE, I am hoping that 3G will not bring a higher
charge. If so, I would just probaly stick with EDGE.
Thanks for the info.

Well, I switched to Verizon EVDO and never looked back. The difference is
astounding and worth the price.

I use a Windows Mobile PDA phone- moving from T-Mobile's $6/month data to
Verizon's $40 (for PDAs) just isn't worth it to me even for a ten-fold
increase in speed.
