Ok, thanks. I think my (rather olderly) Palm device has a faster
processor but I'd have to check. 200mhz doesn't sound like much for
running any M$ "OS", however...

Hah, so it has! I've read so many specs they've all blurred together.
I think, in the final assessment, we're going to Spr*nt and getting
Mogul devices. The low-vision user (me, truth be told) has decided to
just choke up and get bifocals as the optometrist has been
recommending for a couple of years now...

On www.Howardforums.com there's info and software to overclock the Wing
with reports that it works much faster - at some cost to battery life.
