It has been down since Sunday. Did it happen often?

I tried to refill my To Go phone. The service representative said their
computer system was down, and I have a deadline to refill by July 31....

Should be able to refill right through the phone...

It has? It's been working fine for me.

Are you a prepaid customer? I am and since last night (when I started
checking after reading the OP's post) I get the following:

"We're sorry. My T-Mobile is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance
to improve the site for you. Please try again later"

That's what I get as well.  I was able to log in only once in the last week
to check my balance.
If this is how TM2G works, then it's of no real value.  I know that I can
check via my phone, but
if I need to, I'd like to do it via a computer.

I find it easier to check on the phone...

It's of no real value because their web site (which is limited for TM2G
users anyhow) has been down for a few days? That's rather silly.

Up to you.

Seeing as I live in what amounts to a Faraday Gage, the computer way is
easier.
I gather there are others who'd like to use their computer to do this.

BTW, even the t-zones
way of checking your balance is down and has been for the last week.

No...prepaid is for losers.

Am I supposed to be offended? Goodness, is that bit of childish outburst
supposed to make me mad?

Exactly what were you trying to accomplish? I'm quite happy with my
pre-paid phone and my TMo2Go service. I have everything I want with a
cell phone service provider. This entire year's service cost me $10.

Or are you just socially inept and desperate for attention?

Did you ever consider calling Customer Support? That's what they're
there for, you know.

Why would *I* want to do that? Do you have a problem following a
threaded conversation?

Huh? Why do you say that? Can you not acknowledge that for some people
with very limited needs prepaid makes the most sense? My elderly
parents, who do not fit the description of "losers" in any sense, both
use prepaid and hardly make a dent in their minutes. After each buying a
$100 card to get started (which also got them free phones) they now each
pay $10 a YEAR for all the cell service they need and want. They have
perfect credit, are quite affluent and can certainly afford any monthly
plan they might like - but why pay more for something you don't need or
want?
The "loser" may be the one who is too arrogant to recognize a good
value and understand that different people have different needs.

I don't think that is true. prepaid is a GOOD way to try a new
cellular carrier without getting sacked with a contract. Let me
explain.
Here in Torrington Connecticut we have both Cingular and
T-mobile service. I tried Cingular in the past and got sandbagged into
a contract, service wasn't that great. (should have tried prepaid with
them, instead of the 1yr contract route). Now if T-mobile doesn't work
out... No big loss. just don't refil the sim and chuck said sim in he
trash. No 1 year tie-in.
And after you put $100 on the sim, use it at 10 cents per
minute, good for a whole year! Not a bad deal at all! Its less
espensive than Tracfone and I can use almost any unlocked GSM phone I
want. Including my beloved Nokia 6340i, originally a cingular phone,
now unlocked.
Am I loser? No, I am a thrifty person who wants to try the
different services to find the best deal for me. Some would say I am a
miser but that isn't quite true, I look for the best bang for my
money. Of the two... Cingular and T-mobile.. T-mobile doesn't charge a
$1 per day access fee (for normal cell phone use). where as Cingular
charges it reguardless if you call mom to tell her you are running
late or recieve a call from mom.

By now you know what's going on, but for those others, they has a big system
outage for prepaid and kept people accounts working even with no balance.

Does "prepaid" include KidConnect or just the TMo To Go accounts? (My daughter
is on KidConnect.)
