Called T-Mobile this morning (around 9am?) to
have my T-Mobile To Go account activated.
Still no activity on my cell phone.
How long does account activation take?

The accounts I've activated for myself and a couple of relatives have been
virtually instantaneous. You very quickly get a text message indicating
that the account is active.

I was told by the T-Mobile representative that
I would get a call and a text message when
the activation is complete.  So, I waited and waited.
But, still nothing from T-Mobile.  When I called to inquire earlier,
I was told that a cell phone number had been assigned.
So, I tested the cell phone number out.  It works now.
Just no message telling so.

What does that entail?

If you really believe carbon dioxide causes global warming,
                         you should stop exhaling.

At the minimum, assignment of a cell phone number.
I'm not sure what else is needed.

When I did it last, you called into an automated line and entered your SIM
serial number, desired area code, account activation code, and birth day
using touch tones, and it activates the account and reads back the
assigned MIN to you.

That's right.

Specifically, the following is requested ...

- Activation Code
- SIM Card Serial #
- Handset Serial # / IMEI
- Preferred Area Code
- Name
- DOB
- Nearest City
- Preferred Language
- Pin

Then, you get ...

- New Telephone #
