Blackberry upgrade question

I would appreciate any opinions you guys might have as I consider
upgrading my Blackberry 8100 Pearl.

I am considering the Blackberry 8820 for its built in GPS, but have
heard it described as "bulky." The thing I like most about the Pearl is
that it's footprint is very un-Blackberry like. I hate that old
fashioned behemoth of a device that was earlier generation BBs.

I could live with the Curve for sure, but it doesn't have built in GPS.
I really like the bigger screens on both the Curve and the 8820. WiFi is
nice, but not essential.

I would only be getting a partial upgrade discount (it hasn't been the
full 22 months or whatever it is since last upgrade), so the thing I'm
wondering is if there is anything from RIM coming down the pike, that
will be available on T-Mobile, that is worth waiting for, or should I go
with one of the current options.

I had a T-Mobile Shadow WM phone for about a month and a half and sold
it on eBay to go back to my Pearl. So, I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to
BBs from now on. I just hope they continue to offer more streamlined
models (I'd really prefer a flip phone, but don't expect that).

Anyway, thanks for any info you may have heard or opinions you may have.

No opinions on this at all?

I'm a WinMo guy, so I don't pay too much attention to the Blackberries.
However, T-Mo is being very slow to release new models of higher-end phones
these days, since they're slowly rolling out their faster 3G data network
(which is scheduled to go online October 1st.)  All the new high-end phone
releases seem to be waiting for the October/November time frame.  RIM has
some new models coming soon- a touchscreen model and the new Blackberry
Bold, but whether T-Mo will get them remains to be seen.  I'd, in the words
of my teenaged niece, "chillax" for awhile if possible, and not "waste" your
upgrade elligibility on a current model until you see what comes down the
pike for the end of the year.

Thanks for the advice, Todd.
